RESUME

I am a graphic design professional with many years of experience in print and website design. I am highly skilled in The Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Corel Painter 11 and HTML 5/CSS 3. I am also versed in all aspects of the design process, from word listing and thumb nail to digital production methods for print and web.

I would like to find a position that will allow me to excel in my field while working with a talented and dedicated team. I want to be challenged to increase my skill and creativity.

I completed the Communication Design program and was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts in May 2011. The program included all aspects of the design process, from beginning to production. I also developed client-designer interpersonal skills through the critique process.

I am reliable and have a strong work ethic. I enjoy working with other designers, especially those that drive me to be more creative and inventive. I can accept direction from superiors as well as manage others when assigned to and I have strong interpersonal skills.

I am well versed in all of the software that is necessary to carry out design duties and produce excellent work. Additionally, I am skilled in print production and pre-press duties.

I am responsible for maintaining an eCommerce website, support the Creative Director with print ad design and marketing emails and various other related duties.

I was responsible for designing and building a new version of their MedicareMall.com website building a responsive WordPress theme using HTML 5 and CSS 3. I worked closely with the SEO Analyst to make sure the design was search engine friendly. While I used Photoshop and Dreamweaver for the initial design, I coded the theme using Adobe Edge Code.

I have performed design services for companies and non-profit organizations such as The Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education, The Kids Are All Right Fest and the San Marcos Apartment Finder magazine. I have worked on print and website designs using the Adobe Suite, Word-Press and HTML 5/CSS 3.

I was responsible for maintaining a PHP based website for the university radio station. I was involved in making decisions relating to marketing the station and the running of the website.

I maintained security and order in a university computer lab, managing personnel and assisting the faculty with technical issues related to the computers and audio-visual systems. I assisted students and faculty in the use of the Adobe Suite and helped them finish various projects.
